Step 1: Let's ascertain if any hearing loss is present
For an in-depth analyses of your hearing health: Be guided through tests of each part of the hearing pathway and know more about your specific type and pitches of hearing loss with either ear, to what degree and what type it is (transient or more permanent).
The government provides 1 free full hearing assessment every 3 years for eligible pensioners and veterans.
If you go to your doctor and get a Multi-disciplinary Care Plan (for those with chronic health conditions in need of allied health services-up to 5 per calendar year) with Audiology selected your hearing test can be bulk-billed through Medicare and I will report our results back to your referring doctor.
For employment related hearing tests (Audiometry/Audiogram) includes a report (E.g. to meet CASA standards)
Basic assessment of hearing losses - which ear/s and what degree of hearing losses only. This is not indicative of the type of hearing loss nor whether it is likely to be a transient or permanent hearing loss.
A discussion on how it is going with your hearing and management of the hearing aids. I can check your hearing levels and aid volumes and settings to further optimise these for hearing as best as possible with a view to being realistic and positive towards your goals.
All possible efforts will be made in-clinic to repair the aid/s, however, manufacturer repairs are available and quoted upon request. It is an approximate 2 weeks turnaround and free loan aids are available. Repairs are free for Gov eligible pensioners or veterans with a current maintenance agreement (renewed yearly).
If recommended, hearing aids need to be suitable for your specific type and degree of hearing loss, lifestyle, budget and communication needs. There are hundreds of hearing aid options, and I will offer you my professional recommendations for what will suit you best.
